Kottayam: The government will not allow any new recruitments to Libya because of the dangerous situation still prevailing in that country, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Friday.
He was speaking to reporters after meeting 22 nurses who had returned from Libya at his house in Puthupally. The nurses thanked him for the steps the government had taken for their safe return.
When his attention was drawn to reports that nine nurses had left for Libya, he said they had gone to a safe area, but added that even similar employment would not be allowed in future.
