Nayani Narasimha sorry for accusing K Rosaiah

An inquiry has found that Mr Rosaiah’s son-in-law has nothing to do with the foundation

Hyderabad: Telangana State home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Friday apologised to Tamil Nadu Governor and former AP Chief Minister K. Rosaiah for levelling wrong allegations against his son in law.

The home minister had recently accused Mr Rosaiah of nepotism by alleging that he had allotted one acre of land to his son-in-law’s private medicare foundation from land belonging to the Mallepally ITI at a throwaway price of Rs 1 crore when he was the CM.

“It’s true that I had levelled the allegation based on feedback from officials, which was wrong. An inquiry has found that Mr Rosaiah’s son-in-law has nothing to do with the foundation.

I have apologised to Mr Rosaiah,” he said while welcoming activists from various parties from Warangal in the TRS fold at Telangana Bhavan on Friday.

Mr Reddy said the Tamil Nadu Governor had called him up and informed him that his son-in-law had no role nor was he connected to the allotment of land to a private hospital at Mallepally. “I got wrong feedback from officials,” he said.

Flaying the previous Congress government for allotting prime land to a private hospital at a throwaway price, he said he would take up the issue in the next Cabinet meeting and if needed, the government would take back the land.

“Allotment of one acre of land of Mallepally ITI meant for poor students to a private hospital is a highly reprehensible act. We will consider taking back the land,” he remarked.
