We hear Shaheen Bhatt has taken charge of her star sister Alia’s work. Buzz is that Alia’s work dates have gone completely haywire and now she’s in a tight spot. “Due to the abrupt delay of the shooting of Shandaar, the dates allotted for her endorsements and forthcoming films had to be re-worked.
Alia’s managers and her sister have been working in tandem on that,” says a source close to the actress. If that wasn’t problem enough, now the news of Alia’s next big film being indefinitely delayed has begun to do the rounds.
Word is that Ayan Mukerji’s film starring Alia and Ranbir Kapoor has been pushed to a later late as Karan wanted RK’s bulk dates for his directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. “Now that Ranbir will commence working on Karan’s film in 2015, Alia, who had blocked her dates for Ayan’s film with Ranbir, is left with bulk dates with no project allotted to them,” says the source. Now the actress is trying to accommodate other projects in place of Ayan’s film.
Alia’s team and co-star Shahid Kapoor have suggested that director Abhishek Chaubey and the team of Udta Punjab start shooting for film as she has bulk dates. It’s certainly not an ideal situation for Alia who was looking forward to working with Ranbir. But then she has to make the most of her time.
