New Delhi: A doctor was arrested on Thursday for allegedly scripting the acid attack on a 30 year old woman doctor, along with three persons, two of them juvenile.
Police said Dr Ashok Yadav and the victim had done their MBBS from Russia and knew each other for 10 years and the duo were “good friends.”
According to the police, Dr Yadav, of Mayapuri, wanted to marry her and had proposed on two-three occasions but she had rejected his overtures.
“He recently came to know that her family are getting her married. He decided to teach her a lesson. Yadav roped in his close friend Vaibhav,” police said.
Police said Vaibhav had roped in two juveniles and fixed a deal of Rs 25,000 to carry out the plot and out of which, Vaibhav gave them Rs 22,000 in advance.
