New Delhi: At the unified command meeting, chaired by Union home minister Rajnath Singh, it has been indicated that the security forces would neutralise the threat posed by the Bodo militants’ breakaway factions.
The blueprint of the all out offensive drawn up by the security brass is focused on taking out the NDFB(S) leadership from their safe zones.
Sources pointed out that unless the top leadership is decimated, the cadres’ morale will remain high as they continue to carry out targeted strikes killing innocent people.
Mr Singh is also learnt to have asked the CMs of neighbouring states, to cooperate as inter state operations will be required to flush out the militants.
