Centre to set up four rail universities
PM Modi said that these would be directly linked to jobs in the railways
Lucknow: Announcing that the Centre will set up four railway universities in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that these would be directly linked to jobs in the railways.
“I know there is still scope for employment in the railways and we need to train our youth so that the rail can directly help in the development of the country. I will bring help from Japan and China to set up the universities,” he said, adding that the railways should be the best example of “Make in India.”
Mr Modi said that he did not see the railways as a means of transport but wanted to build it as the backbone of the country’s economy.
