5-kg LPG cylinders will now be available at petrol pumps and select grocery stores

New Delhi: To make environment-friendly LPG easily available to consumers, the mini 5-kg mini LPG cylinders will now be available at petrol pumps and neighbourhood grocery stores in almost all major cities.

Besides this, subsidised 5-kg LPG cylinders will be available at gas agencies. The market-priced mini LPG cylinders costing Rs 351 can be bought across-the-counter without prior booking and minimal paper work at petrol pumps, gas agencies and select grocery stores.

As far as subsidised 5-kg LPG cylinders are considered, people can buy 34 bottles at Rs 155 per cylinder in Delhi. The price in other states could vary due to local taxes.

Those who have enrolled themselves for subsidised LPG with a local distributor can avail of either of 14.2-kg or 5-kg cylinders. A consumer opting for 14.2-kg cylinder cannot midway switch to 5-kg bottle and vice-a-versa.
