Coimbatore: In a chilling double murder, a power loom unit owner and his daughter were allegedly stabbed to death by a teenaged staff and his two friends in Sulur near Coimbatore.The 50-year-old powerloom owner, Rakiyappan, had sustained 20 stab injuries in the ruthless attack while his daughter also suffered multiple injuries and died in a pool of blood on Wednesday night.
The 19-year-old worker, A.Kumar, along with his friends had allegedly killed the powerloom owner and his daughter as he refused to given an advance of Rs 50,000, police said. Within a few hours after the murder, the Coimbatore police nabbed the worker and his two friends, who were trying to flee to Bengaluru by a bus. According to the Sulur police, Rakiyappan, was the owner of a powerloom unit near his residence at S Kumarapalayam near Sulur. About 20 days ago, he had hired A Kumar with the promise of paying an advance of Rs 50,000.
