A heart to heart with the fans: Preetika Rao
As you aren’t shooting these days, what is your routine like now? — Tee
Ever since Beintehaa ended, I’ve been caught up with personal work a lot of it was pending since I wasn’t available at home for a year. I’ve not found time to socialise yet, although I’ve managed to meet a few friends. I’m looking forward to getting back in touch with more friends this week onwards.
Your favourite songs and a catchphrase? — Sumaiya
At the moment it is Main Rang Sharbaton Ka, which is also my caller tune. I’m an Atif Aslam fan. I also like the songs from Sound Of Music and The Holiday. And something I keep saying often would be, “Everything is destined. During good times enjoy the ride, and during bad times, be patient.”
The things that you cant do without? — Nancy
My computer, phone, the Internet, my debit card and my talent.
Any plans of a reunion of the Beintehaa cast on December 30 which marks the completion of one year of the show? — Maneesha
I don’t know yet, but that would be nice.
Your favourite memories from this time of the year? — Sasha
I missed enjoying Christmas in Mumbai last year, as I was working. I just love walking around the streets in Bandra, taking a look at the decorations, enjoying coffee and cake. I have a special fondness for Bandra Bandstand. In my childhood, I used to go there for walks with my sister Amrita and watch the sunset. During Christmas, we would go there in our car, take cake and a bottle of wine and indulge ourselves while watching the sunset.
Would you want to work with Harshad Arora again? Who are your favourite co-stars? — Jennifer
If we are offered a good show, why not? As for my favourite co-stars, I liked working with Suhasani Maniratnam in the South — she’s friendly and chilled out. From Beintehaa, I liked Naved Aslam. I got along with him like I do with my real maamu. I respect him a lot. Also Vivek Madan is now a dear friend.
What look would you opt for this party season? — Aisha
A pair of well-fitting denims, blingy tank tops, standard black and beige pumps or peep toes, formal blazers or jackets, colourful shorts. For formal dos, long flowy dresses.
Any plans to enter Bollywood? Who would be yours style icons from B-town? — Saba
It all depends on the offer really. Shah Rukh Khan is someone I would love to work with and he’s very stylish. Among the women, Kangna Ranaut is always updated with the latest trends.
What do you first notice in a man? — Mamta
More than the physical aspect I notice his integrity in life. I dislike people who I know are using others to climb the professional ladder.
