AIS officers allotment orders to be out by December 27

Sources said there would be no major changes from the provisional allocation

Hyderabad: The allotment will be carried out as recommended by the Centre appointed Pratyush Sinha committee.

The state-wise list of allottees will be posted on the Website of the department of personnel and training by Friday. Chief secretaries of Telangana and AP, Dr Rajiv Sharma and I.Y.R. Krishna Rao, said that they had received information about the Prime Minister giving his nod and orders are expected by Friday.

Sources said there would be no major changes from the provisional allocation made earlier by the committee. However, individual officers can approach institutions like CAT to report grievances.

The allotment process was embroiled in controversies for nearly six months now with several officers lodging objections over the “provisional allotment list” released by the committee in August.

The Telangana and AP governments pitched for some changes in the provisional list by insisting on certain officers to be allotted to their state cadre. Of the present strength of the AIS officers of the united AP, the committee has given 163 IAS, 112 IPS and 65 IFS posts for Telangana and 211 IAS, 144 IPS and 82 IFS posts to AP.
