Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, which was showcased at the Samsung Unpacked 2014 Event in September, has finally been launched in India for Rs 64,900. The handset will be available in India from January 2015, and will be sold at select retail outlets.
The Galaxy Note Edge phablet features a 5.6-inch (1600 x 2560 pixel) AMOLED display, which comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display is coupled with an additional (160 pixel) edge display and its pixel density measures around 524ppi. The edge display will give users a quick access to notifications, alerts and the most used applications — even when the screen is locked.
Running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is powered by a Snapdragon processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card.
The phablet also features a 16MP rear shooter and a 3.7MP front-facing camera. It weighs around 174 grams and is fuelled with a Li-ion 3000mAh battery. A Samsung S Pen also accompanies the Galaxy Note Edge.
