Melbourne: Australia all-rounder Shane Watson – hit by a bouncer in the head during training session by James Pattinson – was shaken and walked off the field on Tuesday.

The Australian team selector Mark Waugh said, "Shane Watson will be assesed by medical staff on Wednesday morning after the allrounder was struck on the helmet in the MCG nets today (Tuesday)."
Watson was hit on the side of the head when he tried to duck against a short ball during Australia's practice session ahead of the third Test against India at Melbourne. Following the blow to Watson, a distraught looking James Pattinson too went back to the dressing room.
