Hyderabad: The AP Legislative Assembly passed the Capital Regional Development Authority Bill on Monday with a voice vote. After a heated debate, AP Legislative Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao declared that the Bill was passed by voice vote.

In an emotional speech in the Assembly, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said, ”Our capital will be the capital for the 22th Century. I am asking the Opposition to not indulge in politics over the capital. We shall build a capital that will be the pride of all Telugus. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his poll campaign, had promised that he will help us to build a capital even better than New Delhi.”

Mr Naidu said, “We shall not forget the humiliation we faced during the bifurcation. We will teach them a lesson by building a world class capital. I appeal to public to not believe those who are trying to sabotage out attempts.”

Only corruption needs a ‘case study’.” Mr Reddy said that the government is not in a position to digest facts in the case studies. Reacting to this, the CM said one needs guts to reveal the facts.
