‘Doctor’ monkey helps fellow simian regain consciousness

Lucknow: A monkey has proved that he is more humane than humans by rescuing a fellow monkey who fell unconscious after coming into contact with a live wire at the Kanpur railway station on Sunday.
The monkey tried to resuscitate the unconscious monkey for several minutes by biting and dipping him in the water on the tracks. Gradually, the unconscious monkey regained consciousness but the other monkey kept rubbing his back for several minutes till the former got well enough to sit up on his own and later helped him walk away from the tracks.
The monkey had reportedly come in contact with a high voltage power cable while scampering around at the station and was shocked and fell unconscious on the ground. The scene attracted a huge crowd at the railway station and several passengers made videos of the incident that should serve as a lesson for humans too.
