Satna (Madhya Pradesh): A local BJP leader Gagnendra Singh and his supporters were caught on camera while purportedly thrashing five workers at a franchise outlet of a car manufacturing firm on Saturday, after they refused to give him some spare parts on credit and asked him to clear the previous dues.
Mr Singh, who is the district panchayat president of Satna, sent a man to the company’s outlet to get some material on credit but the personnel there refused and asked the man to tell to the BJP leader to clear the previous dues.
Infuriated by the denial, Mr Singh, along with his aides, stormed the shop and thrashed the branch manager and other staffs.
Superintendent of police Sitaram Yadav said that he came to know about the incident from news reports but no one has been booked yet as no complaint has been received.
