Mahendra Singh Dhoni dilemma as Sushant Singh Rajput preps for Paani

Two different looks for two different films, both ready to take off at the same time Sushant Singh Rajput is in a fix indeed. How is he going to manage both?

“Sushant is currently preparing for two roles: One is Shekhar Kapoor’s Paani, a futuristic love story based on Romeo & Juliet. The other is Neeraj Pandey’s Dhoni biopic,” says a source. While rehearsals for Shekhar’s film started a while ago, progress has been somewhat limited in the absence of a supporting cast. It’s believed that Ayesha Kapoor, the little firebrand from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black has been cast as the lead actress.

“Sushant was rehearsing for Paani for weeks when the Dhoni project came along and he had to start rehearsing for that role too. Now he’s trying to keep the two characters separate while being immersed in them,” our source adds.

To compound the problem, both the films are expected to be shot at around the same time. “Yash Raj Films, the producers of Paani, have confirmed that the shoot will begin in July 2015. Dhoni will also be shot in the second half of 2015,” our source says.

Sushant has seemingly left the task of avoiding a clash in the schedules of the two films, to his directors. “Shekhar and Neeraj are trying to sort out the dates,” the actor said, when we contacted him.
