Watch: 'If you don't vote for us, don't stay here': BJP legislator threatens voters
Kota: After Prahlad Gunjal’s controversial threat, another BJP legislator in Rajasthan created a stir after a video purportedly showed him threatening voters during the recent local body elections in Kota.
In a video footage, BJP lawmaker Bhawani Singh Rajawat, was seen threatening voters to throw them out of their illegally built homes if they didn't vote for the BJP.
Rajawat later denied that he threatened voters.
"I didn't use abusive language, I have always helped the poor. I did say that if you don't vote for us then don't stay in this place, because I helped them getting this place," he told reporters.
"We just told the people that we have provided you with all the facilities so you should vote for BJP, whereas Congress did not do anything. Many leaders talk in this language," Mr Rajawat added.
Earlier, Gunjal had allegedly abused a medical officer on phone over not posting a male nurse where the MLA wanted him to. The phone conversation had gone viral.
