Exit Polls: Jharkhand for stable government, J&K might settle for hung Assembly
New Delhi: The magical electoral run of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will, it appears, roll on as exit polls indicated that the BJP would form government on its own in Jharkhand. For Jammu and Kashmir, the exit polls predicted a hung Assembly.
The estimates of exit polls indicated that Jharkhand might finally get a stable government after the state was carved out of Bihar and where the post of Chief Minister in Ranchi literally has been a game of musical chairs till now. Exit polls by various agencies predicted the BJP, along with its ally AJSU, would get a majority in a House of 81 seats.
However, exit polls indicated a hung Assembly in Jammu and Kashmir, with the PDP falling short of the majority mark and the BJP’s much-hyped Mission 44+ not translating into reality on the ground.
C-Voter claimed in exit polls results at the end of the final round of voting on Saturday evening that the PDP could win between 32 and 38 seats in the House of 87.
