Android M: The rumour mill has started churning already
Android L, Lollipop, V5.0, has just been released and Android M rumours have started trickling in already. But Android has to get a new version in time to come, and the Google Android team is definitely working on the next version behind the curtains.
According to Mobileburn, rumours and leaks about the Android M has already started coming in. According to the information, Google will be taking the Android platform a step further and implementing the Android M into cars.
At present, Android Auto lets you to simply plug in your Android phone or tablet to the car and use the onboard dashboard display for operating it. Android M will be one step further which will allow you to place the phone in the dashboard itself and control all essential software in the vehicle, leaving out the need for pairing of devices.
The article states Reuters reporting that Android M will have a built-in digital car engine, which will be a complete operating system for the car itself. Google is already dealing with a few car manufacturers, namely General Motors, Nissan, Hyundai and a few others, to implement the Android Auto. The only hurdle for now is to get Android start as quickly as your car engine.
