Andhra Cricket Association president DV Subba Rao passes away
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Cricket Association’s President DV Subba Rao (82), who was also former mayor of Visakhapatnam city and former chairman of Bar Council of India, passed away on Saturday afternoon while under going treatment in Care Hospital in Visakhapatnam.
Subba Rao was admitted to the hospital on Friday evening following respiratory problems and he breathed his last.
DV Subba Rao had played a vital role in development of Visakhapatnam and cricket in Andhra Pradesh.
He was also a noted advocate in Andhra Pradesh. Both cricket and legal fraternities of Visakhapatnam expressed their shock and condolence at his demise.
President of Visakhapatnam Bar Association (VBA) Janapareddy Prithvi Raj said DV Subba Rao was also a great political leader of BJP, who committed for values and ideology.
His demise was a great loss for Vizag, he added.
