Mumbai: Rajkumar Hirani's 'PK' which stars Aamir Khan along with Sanjay Dutt has hit the theatres and has been creating quite a buzz. According to earlier reports, Dutt, who is serving his sentence in the Yerawada jail in a case related to the 1993 Mumbai blasts, had applied for a 14-day furlough. Dutt may be out just in time to catch a screening of the film which also stars Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput.

This news has come just in time for the movie's release which is touted to be one of the biggest releases of this year. Both director RajKumar Hirani and Aamir Khan have gone on record to say that they miss Sanjay Dutt and highlighted Sanjay Dutt's significance in 'PK'.  Rajkumar Hirani has worked with Sanjay Dutt in the much appreciated Mummbai Bhai series.

Infact Aamir Khan during a recent live chat for the film, has revealed that Sanjay Dutt is akin to being his elder brother. Aamir went on to say that both the actors shared such excellent comradrie that Dutt feels they should enact the characters of Asterix and Obelix in a movie.

In the past, Sanjay Dutt’s prolonged stay out of prison triggered a controversy, forcing the government to order an inquiry. With the furlough granted this time, the actor might just be in time to witness the audience reactions for 'PK'.
