Puri Aakash, son of director Puri Jagannath is playing the lead character in a teenage romance film, Andhra Pori which was launched on Thursday.
Raj Madiraju is the director, while Ulka Gupta of Jhansi Ki Rani serial fame is playing the female lead opposite Puri Aakash, who is very happy about the film and thanked producer Ramesh Prasad and director Raj Madhiraj for giving him the lead role.
Female lead Ulka Gupta feels that, it’s a special day in her career. “I am very fortunate to get this chance. My character in the film is very challenging,” she says.
Director Raj Madiraju has earlier worked with Ramesh Prasad for Rushi. “A remake of a Marathi film Timepass, this is a beautiful love story.
Puri Jagannath wanted to introduce Aakash as lead actor after the completion of his studies. He liked this story and gave us permission to cast Akash in the lead,” says Raj Madiraju.
