Actress Pooja Hegde is eagerly waiting for the release of her upcoming film Mukunda. This is her second Telugu film and she is cast opposite debutant Varun Tej.
The actress says that she wasn’t interested in acting in films. “After Miss India, I got a lot of film offers, but I realise now that I can act.
The Tamil producers of Mugamoodi approached me several times,” she says. “My mother had advised me then, ‘You do this film.
If you don’t like it, don’t do another film in your life.’ Then I signed my debut film opposite Jiiva,” says Pooja.
“I enjoyed the shooting process and then I realised I liked acting. Jiiva, my co-star was very helpful and gave me many tips,” she says.
Pooja received good reviews for her debut film in Telugu Oka Laila Kosam. In Mukunda too she is putting in a lot of effort. She shot a song barefoot at 40°C.
“It was very hot outside and my skin peeled off because of the heat,” she says thanking director Srikanth Addala.
