Mumbai: Not too long ago, Bipasha Basu was in the news for her alleged split from Harman Baweja. Now the actress is busy focusing on the release of her upcoming film Alone and says she’s too busy to let silly rumours preoccupy her. “I can barely control what people say,” says Bipasha. “This isn’t the first time that I’ve had to deal with such allegations.”
The actress shares a great equation with her Alone co-star Karan Singh Grover. “He’s a great guy. His honest attitude towards life makes him unique. We genuinely get along well on and off screen,” she admits.
There are talks linking them up too, thanks to their selfies and working stills of their film. Karan’s announcement about his separation from wife Jennifer Winget comes well timed with the release of Alone.
Ask Bipasha anything about Harman and there is a dignified silence. Clearly, she wants the focus to remain on her film and not her personal life. Probably that’s the reason she has given standard instructions to her team of managers to intervene at the mention of Harman. Bipasha’s decision to axe out Harman from the conversation sends the message loud and clear.
On a happier note, Bipasha has re-started her dream-house hunt. “Since I love cooking, I need an open air kitchen. My house has to have a swimming pool. I’ve been meeting brokers and property dealers. I have a huge set of friends and I love hosting dinner parties for family and friends. So I have to have a big house to accommodate my gang.”
