Sonam Kapoor might be on cloud nine about winning the Best Actress (Rom-Com) Award at the Stardust Awards. But the social media isn’t being kind to her.
People are commenting on her official page, wondering how the actress’ “overacting” in Khoobsurat won her accolades; some have even alleged a conspiracy.
A user wrote: “For real? She paid the Stardust guys or wat?” Yet another user added: “I’ve never heard of a category called ‘Best Actress Rom-Com…’ Seems like they created it to give someone an award! Lol!” A response alleged, “Just create new categories and give everybody awards, and keep them happy.”
At the ceremony held on Monday, Sonam was at her stylish best, in an Elie Saab outfit and Farah Khan Ali jewellery.
Sonam has been a regular feature at the Awards, since 2008 with the Stardust Award for Saawariya.
