RCB releases Yuvraj Singh, Delhi lets go Dinesh Karthik
Mumbai: Early this year, Yuvraj Singh became the talk of the town after Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him for Rs 14 crore. But on Monday, the same unit released the all-rounder raising eyebrows in the cricketing world. Delhi Daredevils – who acquired services of Dinesh Karthik for 12.5 crores – followed suit.

It looks like the franchises are interested to rebuild their unit after a sorry outing in IPL 2014. Despite stalwarts like Virat Kohli and Yuvraj in the side, RCB could not cross the line.
Among the other players released by their teams include Zaheer Khan, Pragyan Ojha, Cheteshwar Pujara, Murali Vijay. International stars Kevin Pietersen, Ross Taylor, Michael Hussey and Wayne Parnell.
However, it remains to be seen who picks these cricketers for the next auctions now that they are free. Kolkata Knight Riders have reportedly retained their winning squad.
