HYDERABAD: Two women were rescued by the city police from the clutches of cruel Dubai sheikhs who forced them into prostitution and slavery.
The victims who are sisters, belong to the Vadlamuri village in Guntur district. They were sent to Dubai on November 11 by some agents in Barkas of old city.
The women paid around Rs 2 lakh to the agents. They were promised good pay and a baby care job in Abu Dhabi in UAE, but the reality was far different and both women were forced into prostitution and slavery. They were also made to clean toilets with their hands, south zone DCP Satyanarayana said.
He said that initially the 30-year-old elder sister pretended to have heart diseases and reached Hyderabad last week.
She approached the Chandrayangutta police and reported the barbaric treatment they were facing in Dubai. She requested them to rescue her younger sister.
