Bengaluru: Though under the shadow of global Intelligence agencies for allegedly inciting Muslim youth in Europe countries to join hands with IS through his tweets at @ShamiWitness, 24-year-old Mehdi Masroor Biswas is neither a “terrorist” nor a stereotype “jihadi,” who is radicalised because of Godhra riots, Babri Masjid demolition or the Kashmir issue, said an Intelligence officer.
“Mehdi hates Shias, Israel and the US and sympathises with the IS. He is an authority on the IS and has immense knowledge on the Arab world. He has nothing against India,” he said.
Describing him as “intelligent, curio-us and perseverant,” he said, “Mehdi could be star employee of an Intelligence agency. He has the inside knowledge of ISIS and Al Qaeda. Many of his tweets have been used by media houses abroad for breaking news stories.”
