Lucknow aims to emulate London with kebab crawl
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh tourism department is planning a ‘kebab crawl’ in Lucknow on the lines of the famous ‘pub crawl’ in London.
The city of Nawabs, which is famous for its large variety of mouth-watering kebabs, will now take the tourists on a guided tour of well-known eateries that offer varieties of kebabs.
“Along with the kebabs, the tourists will be informed of the legacy of the dish as well as the reason that makes it different from the rest of the cuisine,” said director general tourism of UP tourism department Amrit Abhijat.
The kebab crawl will also offer vegetarian delicacies like the traditional chaat and ‘khasta-kachori’ that can be washed out with the famous ‘thandai’.
The costs are being worked out. It is presumed that the delicacies will be offered in the crawl at a rate lower than market price.
