Farmers first to benefit: Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu
Rs 25 lakh to be allotted as interest-free loans for set-up of firms
Vijayawada: AP CM Chandrababu Naidu assured the landowners and farmers that they would be the first beneficiaries and also citizens in the proposed capital city.
Interacting with the landowners and farmers of capital location villages at the state guest house as part of his city tour on Saturday, CM Naidu said that the government would not do any injustice to landowners or anyone else. He asked the landowners and farmers to have faith in his plans in the capital construction.
“Earlier several people of the villages went and settled in the US. Now they will also come back to Tullur area from there.” said Mr Naidu. Reacting to this, the huge gathering of landowners and farmers, said that already several top of the line luxury cars were touring the villages.
On this occasion, CM said that the good days are in near future and all big shots would also come to the AP capital. He said that the government has identified the local villagers including with their Aadhaar proof and first priority would be given the local villagers only and they would be the first citizens in capital city.
The government would also give training in various aspects and Rs 25 lakh would be allotted to them as interest-free loans for farmers and land owners for establishing the industries. He said that already the Singapore government has come forward to extend their cooperation in capital constructio, but some of them are trying to damage the government’s reputation for their self interests.
The government has announced ever best package in the country under land pooling system. He assured the people of capital villages, that the government would protect the temples, churches, houses, burial grounds and no need to worry over it.
Naidu’s team charms farmers:
Telugu Desam leaders, including legislators, in presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu have finally succeeded in persuading farmers to pool lands. Farmers from Tullur and other capital region villages met Mr Naidu, felicitated him and announced their plans to turn over their farmlands for the new capital.
Agriculture minister P. Pulla Rao, Tadikonda MLA and member of Cabinet sub-committee on land pooling T. Sravan Kumar and Vinukonda TD MLA and Guntur TD president G.V.S. Anjaneyulu, along with TD members, helmed the drive.
Farmers of Tullur and Mangalagiri mandals Ch. Bulla Rao, N. Koteswara Rao and others announced that they are wilfully offering their lands for the new capital and would cooperate in building a world-class capital that will be the pride of Telugus.
They said that they were giving up farming by handing over lands for the greater good. Mr Naidu said that during his recently-concluded Singapore visit, he first-hand experienced complete lack of corruption. He narrated the instance of his driver in Singapore politely refusing to take a tip from him, claiming that he was getting good remuneration.
