Oscars is as bogus as any Pan Parag award, believes Naseeruddin Shah

Mumbai: Naseeruddin Shah is the most sought actors in the industry. The actor who is gearing up for his next, a comedy entertainer has no qualms in talking his heart out. With ‘Welcome 2’ he has stuck a balance between commercial and mainstream cinema.

In an interview with Absolute India, he mentions the importance of awards to him. He was quoted saying, “I don’t understand why people run behind Oscars. Oscars is as bogus as any Pan Parag award. There’s no value for any awards in my life and that includes the National Awards because there’s even lobbying done in that process.”

Anees Bazmee known for his light-hearted films will have Naseeruddin play an unconvetional role. The film also stars Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham to name a few. The film is scheduled to release next year.
