Andhra Pradesh, Telangana State asked to resolve Rabi season issue
The TS government has submitted a requirement of around 90 tmc ft of water
Hyderabad: The Krishna River Management Board has asked the AP and the Telangana State governments to resolve the distribution of water for the ensuing Rabi season.
In fact, it has written to both the governments to send their requirements of water for Rabi crops so that it could issue orders accordingly. The TS government has submitted a requirement of around 90 tmc ft of water for the second crop under Nagarjunasagar Left Bank Canal.
The AP government has already objection to the claim and informed the KRMB that AP will be deprived, if that quantity of water is released to the TS government. It has also pointed out that AP is already suffering during the ongoing Khariff and season too.
The KRMB, which is already facing problems in resolving the disputes between the two state governments, including the releases from Srisailam dam, has however asked both the engineering-in-chiefs to sit and resolve the water distribution for the ensuing Rabi.
