New Delhi: Faced with regular leaks of examination papers resulting in cancellation of the whole recruitment process, railways minister Suresh Prabhu has instructed the Railway Board to look at ways to take the whole process online, as is the case for entrance tests for Indian Institutes of Management and the Indian Military Academy.
Mr Prabhu in his instruction has called for “an entire recruitment examination made online so as to reduce subjectivity and improve objectivity.”
“Though efforts have been made to improve the recruitment process, it still lacks to inculcate an unfaltered sense of confidence among candidates, the public and, quite often, even among the officers associated with the process (sic),” Mr Prabhu stated in his instruction note.
