New Delhi: It was a long, busy Monday for TRS MP Kavitha in New Delhi. But the sports buff got to unwind at the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL), where the highlight was the brand ambassador of the new state and ace tennis player, Sania Mirza.
And adding to the excitement for Kavitha was the fact that Sania played alongside tennis legend Roger Federer in mixed doubles. “I have always been interested in sports. This tournament in particular excited me as Sania Mirza was playing alongside the legend Federer. It is always, always such a pleasure to see Sania, our brand ambassador, play,” she says.
On Monday, she watched the first three games, including the mixed doubles match of Roger and Sania. “The atmosphere of the tournament is also really nice and I strongly believe these platforms are a great way for Indian sport in general to be able to diversify from cricket to a larger spectrum,” she adds.
