Krishnagiri: In a startling goof-up of family planning surgery at a government hospital in Shoolagiri, a 27-year-old woman who had undergone tubectomy has become pregnant again.Krishnagiri Collector T. P.Rajesh has ordered an inquiry into the family planning surgery bungle.
About one and a half years ago, V. Kavitha of Doddur village near Shoolagiri underwent a family planning surgery at Shoolagiri government hospital after the birth of her second son. However, to her shock, she is now six months pregnant despite undergoing tubectomy.
“My wife decided to go for family planning immediately after the birth of my second son who is now one and half years old. But she is now pregnant again,” Varadharajan, Kavitha’s husband said. In October, when her stomach began to bloat up, she consulted a private doctor.
