TDP leaders booked for calling CM K Chandrasekhar Rao ‘mad’

Hyderabad: A complaint was filed against TD leaders Erraballi Dayakar Rao and Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy for allegedly insulting the Telangana state symbols at the Nampally Court on Wednesday.
K. Govardhan Reddy, an advocate and the complainant said the court examined the complaint and further directed the Banjara Hills police to register a case, investigate and submit a report on the allegation on January 12, 2015.
According to the complainant, on December 6, both the leaders, addressing the media at NTR Bhavan in Banjara Hills, made comments and statements insulting the people of Telangana.
The complaint said, during the press meet, Mr Dayakar Rao said that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is mad and nobody would believe him. While Mr Chandra Shekar Reddy also made statements insulting the state symbols, which have been declared as official symbols of the state government. The duo made several allegations on the symbols too.
In the complaint, Mr Govardhan said the statements made by these two TD leaders were deliberate and can be punished under Sections 295A, 504 and 505 of the IPC. He also alleged that their statements were aimed at provoking the people of Telangana. Interestingly, the Banjara Hills police had earlier refused to take a complaint earlier.
