Online clarity: Break-up Tales!
Divorces weren’t common a few years ago, and certainly not a topic of discussion. But, the recent break-ups of celebrities have proven otherwise. Stars are coming out in the open to talk about their failed marriages, perhaps to avoid speculation and rumours that set the gossip mills running during such trying times. Like the recent tweet by Karan Singh Grover, put a stop to all the stories about his divorce with Jennifer Winget.
He tweeted saying, “For all those who are concerned, you might have heard that Jennifer and I have separated and will soon be getting divorced. I just wanted to confirm that it’s true. The decision has been mutually agreed upon and the reasons are too personal to share. What happens between two people, only they know, all else is merely speculations and assumptions, nothing personal to share. This much I wanted to share thank you always for all your love.”
Being celebrities, be it marriage or divorce, it is but natural for people to wait in anticipation. It is for those times, that these tweets are put to good use. Similarly, Pooja Bhatt who recently ended her marriage with Munna, her husband of 11 years tweeted on her micro blogging site explaining that she needs to do so, as she is in public life. Pooja Bhatt posted saying, “To all those who care & especially those that don’t.
My husband Munna & Me have decided to part ways after 11 glorious years of marriage. Our split as some might call it is amicable & we hold each other in the highest esteem for now and forever. The reason I explain Is because we are both part of the public domain. Our friends, well wishers & foes are free to now speculate.”
Even Hrithik Roshan did not miss out on clearing the air about the alimony, on his social networking site and rubbishing the rumours surrounding it. These virtual platforms have become the voice of celebrities during their trials.
