Slumdog Millionaire co-stars Freida Pinto and Dev Patel have called it quits after dating for almost six years. According to sources, the couple, who met on the set of the Oscar-winning movie in 2008, has been separated for a while now, and Pinto, who recently celebrated her 30th birthday without Patel, 24, is happy being single, Us magazine reported.
The Immortals actress was seen on her birthday with Siddhartha Mallya.The couple had considered themselves to be “soulmates” during happier times, and Patel had said even before they started dating, that they “were soulmates as they both were in this surreal situation.”
In fact, the couple had been so crazy about each other that they refused to celebrate Valentine’s Day because for them “every day should be a celebration of love”.
