Mumbai: Hollywood actress Freida Pinto has split from her long-time boyfriend Dev Patel. Multiple sources confirmed the news of the break-up, reported US Weekly.
Rumours of the split spread like wildfire when Freida was snapped celebrating her 30th birthday billionaire Sid Mallya. A source was quoted as saying, “Dev and Freida have broken up. They have been done for a while.”
The couple, who met on the sets of the Academy award-winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ in 2008, were in a serious relationship for almost six years.
Previously, Freida was secretly married to Rohan Antao in 2007 before landing a role in the film. But after the huge success of 'Slumdog Millionaire' she reportedly ditched her husband.
However her agent said, "We do not want to comment. However, if she is married then whoever is claiming it should produce a marriage certificate."
On the work front, Freida recently launched 'Girl Rising' with Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, a multi-level global campaign to raise awareness of the importance of girl's education.
