Russian President Vladimir Putin to arrive in India today
Putin will land in New Delhi at 10 pm on Wednesday
New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin’s forthcoming visit to India for the 15th Annual India-Russia Summit on Thursday will be a significant milestone in bilateral relations and is expected to lead to about 15 to 20 facilitating agreements in the fields of defence, nuclear energy, science (including space), customs and banking.
Import of rough diamonds directly from Russia is a key item on India’s agenda apart from talks on nuclear energy and ongoing defence projects between the two nations.
President Putin will land in New Delhi at 10 pm on Wednesday. On Thursday, he will meet PM Narendra Modi.
Mr Putin will also interact with CEOs of prominent Indian firms.
