Over 400 gigolo aspirants cheated in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A 29-year-old under educated man, who was earlier cheated by a fake male escort organisers, turned a crook and cheated other 400 gullible gigolo aspirants after taking money from them.
Gonda Tukkaram from Asifnagar, and two of his friends lured the youngsters offering male escort jobs online and collected agency fees before cutting off contact with them. CCS police arrested his gang and found that they have even constructed houses and bought vehicles with the money. Since the victims were reluctant to come forward, police took suo motu case following the advertisements they put up on classified sites. Police said Tukkaram and his two friends Mainalai Sharanappa, 27, from Mangalhat, and Hazgonda Raju, 28, from Karwan, had not even completed their high school. However, they learned basic computing and ways to put up advertisements online. “They copied similar advertisements from elsewhere and put it up with their contact number. The victims who contacted them over phone were asked to deposit money in the bank accounts,” said CCS DCP Pala Raju.
The crooks convinced victims that there were two types of schemes, one for six months and another is for a year. “Victims were asked to pay Rs 6,000 to register in the first scheme, and Rs 10,000 for the second one. They are also promised to get Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 from one female client for one ‘service’,” said Mr Pala Raju.
The gang maintained six Axis bank accounts and collected money without meeting the victims. Cops recovered cash of Rs 2.45 lakh, an Indica car, two bikes, and sealed two houses.
