Kerala Blasters FC look to book semifinal spot

All eight teams have just one match each in the ISL before the playoffs

Kochi: Sometimes winning a match is just not enough. Even as all eight teams have just one match each in the Indian Super League before the playoffs, Kerala Blasters FC and FC Pune City will be involved in two of them on Tuesday.

At 4.30 pm, both teams should be glued in to their TV sets watching Chennaiyin FC play Delhi Dynamos, as the outcome of the game in Chennai will affect their clash that is set for 7 pm kickoff at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium here.

Should Chennaiyin triumph at home, the match involving Kerala and Pune will be virtually a six-pointer as the winner is certain of a ticket to the semifinals, but a draw would be redundant for both parties. Tied on 16 points each, Kerala and Pune are 5th and 6th respectively while Delhi has a point more and is placed 4th.
