RSS says it re-converted 200 Muslims into Hindus in Agra
New Delhi/Lucknow: At a mass conversion ceremony in Agra 57 Muslim families re-converted to Hinduism.
The ceremony called 'Purkhon ki ghar vapsi’ was jointly organised by Dharma Jagran Samanvay Vibhag, an offshoot of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and Bajrang Dal on Monday.
Reportedly, RSS regional head Rajeshwar Singh said more than 200 Muslims were "brought back to Hinduism" in the mass event.
Singh further said nearly 5,000 more Muslims and Christians will be "brought back into Hindu fold" in Aligarh on the Christmas day ie 25th December 2014.
"The grand event will be held at Maheshwari College in Aligarh," said Singh.
BJP leaders came out in support of the event.
BJP leader Vinay Katiyar said that the people were once Hindus so there is nothing wrong in the process.
Meanwhile, NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that this is communal works done by RSS in the shadow of the ruling BJP and such activities will continue till PM Narendra Modi is in power.
Samajwadi Party leader Rajendra Chaudhary said that information on the same will be gathered and actions will be taken on the matter.
