Sonakshi organizes a surprise party for 'popsy' Shatrughan Sinha
Mumbai: The plan, if we must know, was to spend a quiet birthday with the family in Mumbai. But Shatrughan Sinha’s 69th birthday turned into a party, all thanks to Sonakshi who took time off from her promotional commitment to Tevar to make her father’s birthday a memorable experience.
Says Shatruji, “I quietly slipped out of Delhi to return home to spend my birthday wth the family in Mumbai. But I got to know they had planned a ‘surprise’ party for me at The Club in Andheri.”
Being a consummate actor Shatruji pretended to have no whiff of the ‘surprise’ party. He laughs, “Why spoil the family’s efforts? Sonakshi and my son Luv and Kush are busy with their own things. They went out of their way to arrange everything.”
The party on Monday night saw all of Shatruji’s old friends troop in. “It was a such pleasure to to meet up with everyone . I normally don’t believe in celebrating birthdays.But this was a family effort. Therefore special.” Other than that Shatruji had a normal birthday attending to the barrage of greeting calls and messages.
“I am thankful that at this age when I still get so much love on my birthday. There are two stars in the family. Sonakshi is much bigger than I ever was. She’s so busy we hardly get to see her,” says the doting father.
