Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government on Sunday goofed up with the beneficiaries’ list of crop loan waiver scheme by hosting the list of even the farmers to be covered under Phase-II of the programme along with the Phase-I list on the websites.
However, soon the office rectified the goof up. But, by the time the officials could do so, several farmers had logged onto the website and were overjoyed to find their names.
The Chief Minister’s office admitted the mistake, but claimed that it was rectified in a short time.
The list got 98,029 hits on http://apbcsportal.ap.gov.in/loanstatus and another 5,263 hits on http://164.100.132.115/loan status by 9.30 pm.
However, the beneficiaries list is not available to the common man as the format is such that only those, who have farmers’ ration card, Aadhaar or bank account number, can view the individual loan amount and name, contrary to the expectations.
