ATI director Rashmi Mahesh attack case for CBI if CID report not proper
Mysuru: If the CID report in the attack case pertaining to Administrative Training Institute Director General Ms Rashmi Mahesh is not satisfactory, the government will contemplate handing over the case to CBI, said the Home Minister’s Advisor ADGP Mr Kempaiah.
When asked if the report by the CID which is part of the police department can be objective when Ms Rashmi had suspected the role of ADGP Intelligence Mr A.M. Prasad, the husband of former ATI DG Ms Amita Prasad in the incident, Mr Kempaiah said: “Let CID hand over its report first. If the report is not satisfactory, the government will consider handing over the case to the CBI”.
He informed that, several lapses are evident on the part of Mysuru police in the case. When asked what action the State will take, he said the state will decide once the CID report comes. Mr Kempaiah also said the police public school for children of constables, which has come up in city may soon get a medical college and Mysore police may get a hospital attached to it.
