Thiruvananthapuram: The disbursement of salary of KSRTC employees and wages for empanelled employees for November began by Saturday noon after the staff went on a strike.
Transport Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said here in a statement that pension arrears for September were also being distributed along with the salary.
Though a total of Rs 69 crore, including Rs 40 crore received from the state government, Rs 17 crore taken as loan from KTDC and Rs 12 crore remaining from the amount for distribution of pension related benefits in the budget, was earmarked for distribution of pension, the disbursement of the amount began only by noon resulting in protest from the employees.
