Kottayam: The ‘Aarattu’ (immersion of idol in water) of the Kumaranellur Devi temple was held on Saturday with hundreds of devotees going in procession to the Aarattu kadavu bearing the idol of the devi by 12 noon.
The procession went through Nattasserry, one among the ‘Desha Vazhikal’ of the Devi.
The ‘Aarattu’ was held at the Meenachil river in the evening. On Friday morning, the ‘Thrikkarthika Devi Darshanam’ was held.
The ‘Prasadamoottu’ was held during the day and Karthika Vilakku by Friday evening.
