Eighty four percent of vegetarians go back to eating meat
The study found that the majority of vegetarians are women, well-educated and socially liberal
London: A new survey has revealed that 84 percent of vegetarians go back to eating meat in their lifetimes.
The study conducted by Humane Research Council has found that at any one time only 2 percent of the US population was vegetarian, the Mirror reported.
The survey showed that only 29 percent of ex-vegetarians indicated that they experienced specific health-related symptoms whilst on a veggie diet.
43 percent said that it was difficult to stay being veggie, because of purity issues whereas 37 percent of ex-vegetarians and vegans said that they wanted to go back to a no-meat diet sometime in their future.
The study found that the majority of vegetarians are women, well-educated and socially liberal.
