Street food diary

TV actors tell all about the street food they’ll cheat on their diets for

TV actors can be as diet-conscious as their big screen counterparts. But coax them a little, and they’ll tell you all about the street food they’ll cheat on their diets for.

Shakti Arora: Kanda bhajia and chai count as my favourite street food. Everything in the suburb of Malad, Mumbai, as well as the street food joints around Juhu beach are my favourite places for a snack. When I was a child, my parents would bribe me with pani puri and falooda kulfi from Juhu beach to make me focus on my studies.

Manish Raisinghan: Pani puri is something which I can stop and have any time, any where! Of course, a little hygiene is a prerequisite for street food stopovers. The khau galli at South Mumbai’s Mohammed Ali Road rocks during Ramzan!

Harshad Arora: Delhi has some amazing street food, like gol gappe, aloo tikki and bhajiya. I can’t have it too often but it’s okay once in a while.
